Troy Thompson
Mohawk Chief Troy Thompson runs on adrenaline, strong training, and good deeds. While he ramps up his training for his third marathon, the Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon, the 42-year-old is looking to help curb childhood obesity by raising funds for Iakwa’shatste Youth Fitness, an Akwesasne organization that encourages youth to stay active.
Kelly Bergeron
Kelly Bergeron, best known for her work with Cornwall Innovation Centre and Canada Learning Code, took her boundless energy and poured some of it into a TimeraiserX Cornwall event. On June 7, 2018, at Cailuan Gallery, this party for social good starts off by showcasing the work of emerging local artists. Partygoers bid on the works, not with their pocket-books, but with volunteer hours donated to local non-profit organizations.
Isabelle Paquette
Isabelle Paquette is a pint-sized fundraising powerhouse who recently completed her third year of fundraising for the Children’s Treatment Centre. In Year One, she raised $1,000. Last year, the Grade 3 Long Sault Public School student baked cupcakes and exchanged them for donations amounting to a whopping $2,321. For 2018, she upped her fundraising goal to $3,000.
