The Cover of Perch Magazine - 2

Editor’s Note: Issue 2

Perch-magazine-Cornwall-Akwesasne-SDG

We launched the first issue of Perch on October 27, 2017. After an overwhelming and unexpected onslaught of positive feedback and local love, we decided to continue publishing and immediately began planning this issue.

The beauty (and the curse) of making magazines is that editors never turn off their idea machines. It is hard work that is both intoxicating and intimidating. On the harshest of winter days, our editorial team battled over story ideas and filled our days thinking about bike rides and bright fashion, ice cream and chip trucks, pools and patios.

We hope you find this summer issue celebrates where we live and why we love it. It has been a rollercoaster ride. Hop on.
