It’s snowy and cold…and you love it. Here’s a lineup of winter activities where you can get your fill of fun and family.

Countryside Adventures This in-the-woods adventure hub in Moose Creek offers a smorgasbord of winter activities including skating, snowshoeing, a food truck and fire pits. New this year is a three-kilometre trail for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Akwesasne Winter Carnival This popular carnival has been running every February for close to three decades. Past events have included dog sled rides, outdoor timed obstacle races, snowga (yoga in the snow!) and several cook-offs. Planning is just getting underway, so keep your eyes peeled to Facebook for details.

Two Creeks Conservation Area Enjoy 457 acres of wilderness between Morrisburg and Iroquois, including 4.5 km of marked trails that are prime for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and winter hiking.

Dion Ignite the Night Snowshoe Race The only night-time race in the Dion Ontario Snowshoe Running Series takes place surrounded by the magic of Alight at Night at Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg. The January 12, 2019 event is open to anyone.

Hockey with Heart This homegrown event, happening on February 15 and 16, 2019 at the local Williamstown outdoor rink, takes the passion for “the game” and transforms it into a fundraiser to benefit a local charity. Look out for the FB event page in the new year.
